Dr. Scott Smith has been caring for the children and families of Idaho Falls since 2001, and after more than two decades, his love for this community and the people in it has only grown. An avid outdoorsman, Dr. Smith is passionate about everything the Idaho Falls area has to offer — from the mountains to the rivers — and loves that his family gets to grow up in a place with so much to explore. Speaking of family, he and his wife are kept very busy by their five spirited children, which gives him a unique and well-practiced perspective on the beautiful chaos of raising kids. Dr. Smith is also fluent in Spanish, allowing him to serve the area’s Spanish-speaking families with the warmth and clarity every parent deserves when it comes to their child’s health.

Dr. Smith earned his undergraduate degree in Exercise Physiology from Brigham Young University before going on to complete his medical training at Des Moines University in Iowa. He completed his pediatric residency at The Children’s Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, where he was subsequently selected to serve as Chief Resident — a distinction that reflects both his clinical skill and the respect of his peers. He is Board Certified in Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, ensuring his patients always receive care that meets the highest standards in the field.
