About

Jaxson Zohner, PMHNP

Jaxson Zohner, PMHNP, is a dedicated psychiatric nurse practitioner passionate about helping adolescents, teens, and young adults achieve greater emotional well-being and resilience. With a strong foundation in psychiatric medicine and psychology, Jaxson specializes in medication management for depression, anxiety, ADHD, autism, and emotional regulation challenges. He incorporates principles of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) into his work to support clients in building effective coping strategies alongside pharmacological treatment.

Jaxson’s interest in mental health stems from a lifelong curiosity about how the mind works and a desire to harness the power of psychiatric science to make meaningful change. He believes in the transformative potential of small, intentional changes — teaching clients that even simple coping skills can significantly improve daily functioning and overall quality of life. Known by his clients as a calming and trustworthy presence, Jaxson prioritizes strong therapeutic relationships, focusing on understanding who his clients are as individuals before addressing the challenges they face.

With years of experience as a CBRS provider, charge nurse on an inpatient psychiatric unit, and now as a nurse practitioner, Jaxson brings a well-rounded perspective to mental health care. He embraces a holistic approach, integrating both medication and behavioral strategies to support long-term mental wellness. Outside of his clinical work, Jaxson is known for his gentle touch — earning the nickname “Jaxson Tender-Hands” early in his nursing career for his skill in administering injections. His approach to care reflects that same gentleness and precision, offering clients compassionate, evidence-based support as they navigate their mental health journey.
