Melinda Balsmeier

Melinda Balsmeier was raised in Blackfoot, Idaho. She spent some time in Washington, D.C. and China before eventually settling in Idaho Falls, where she’s lived for 15 years. Her areas of expertise include pediatric otolaryngology, spinal surgery, internal medicine, and urgent care. Melinda has always been fascinated by science–specifically the human body. She has loved babies and kids for as long as she can remember. Her mother used to find her looking through the baby department at stores when she was young, and she was delighted to look after her nieces and nephews. In pediatrics, Melinda has learned to expect the unexpected. She enjoys the variety of her patients’ ages; it keeps her on her toes. When she’s not at the office, Melinda enjoys spending time with her husband, four kids, and two dogs. She loves to cycle, hike, ski, and attend her kids’ sporting events.
